The EU Commission has presented a proposal to update the Ecodesign Regulation for heating appliances which stipulates that newly marketed boilers and combi boilers must achieve a minimum energy efficiency of 115 percent. Agora Energiewende has provided an input to the Commissions public consultation of the draft which assesses its relevance for climate, industry, and social policy. The submission also addresses the compatibility with planned member state legislation on heating.
