Uta Weiß

Programme Lead Buildings and Heat Grids

Uta Weiß is a Programme Lead for Buildings and Heat Grids at Agora Energiewende, where she works on the transformation of the building sector and heat grids towards a climate-neutral heat supply.

Before joining Agora, Uta worked for more than 12 years at the Institute for Energy and Environmental Research Heidelberg (ifeu), and at the German Energy Agency (dena). There, she led various projects and studies on energy efficiency and the heat transition. In particular, she advised governmental authorities on the design of policy instruments to achieve climate neutrality. She started her career at Gaz de France Energy Germany in Berlin and Paris, where she was responsible for strategic planning.

Uta Weiß studied industrial engineering at the TU Berlin and the Université Paris-Dauphine.
