Thomas Kouroughli

Policy Officer

Thomas Kouroughli works as an analyst in the International Data and Modelling Hub of Agora Energiewende.

Before joining Agora full time, Thomas spent two years working as a part time student, supporting Agora’s International and European team in a number of projects. During this period, he completed a masters in Industrial Economics at the TU Berlin where he focused on energy and climate economics. His master thesis employed an integrated assessment model to explore the interaction between the agricultural sector and negative emission technologies.

Prior to moving to Germany, Thomas was a strategy consultant in the UK whilst working on a new recycling technology as part of the Climate-KIC greenhouse programme at Imperial University. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Philosophy, Politics & Economics from the University of Warwick.

The international community – and the #EuropeanUnion in particular – could help #China by engaging it in a coalition of the willing for #climate action, argues @AgoraEW's Kevin Tu.
