Mackenzie Nelson is Project Manager of the EnerTracks Programme at Agora Energiewende. Before joining Agora Energiewende in 2021, Mackenzie worked as a Researcher and Project Manager at AlgorithmWatch, a Berlin-based digital rights NGO. In her role as Project Manager for the Governing Platforms Project, she liaised with academic and civil society partners to develop policy proposals for the EU Digital Services Act. From 2015 to 2017, Mackenzie worked in transatlantic policy and communications at the Heinrich Böll Foundation’s office in Washington D.C.

Mackenzie holds a B.A. in International Politics and History from Jacobs University Bremen and an M.A. in Public Administration from the Central European University’s School of Public Policy.
