Since May 2012 Lars Waldmann is Senior Associate with Agora Energiewende covering the topics infrastructure, electricity grid and storage as well as decentralization and citizen energy involvement.
Prior he was Director Strategic Marketing and Market Research at Q.CELLS SE in Berlin and Thalheim a major solar manufacturer in Germany. In the period from 2005 to 2011 Lars Waldmann worked as Director Public Relations and Public Affairs at SCHOTT Solar AG, a merger company of the solar branch of RWE, RWE Solar GmbH in Alzenau and the glass specialist SCHOTT AG in Mainz. Between 2002 and 2005 he was Manager Sales and Marketing for Europe, Aisa and Africa at RWE Solar. From 1989 till 2002 Lars Waldmann wrote on renewable energies as freelance journalist and worked as a consultant.
In Augsburg he studied Sociology, Economics and Business Administration. Since 2004 he contributes in various associations and committees to the integration of renewable energies. His special subjects are technology transfer, research & development and strategy & market development.
