From 2013 to 2017 Alice Sakhel was a research associate at the Chair of Management and Sustainability at the University of Hamburg. In her doctoral thesis, she investigated several research questions related to climate change risks and climate protection in the corporate context. Before coming to Hamburg, she studied Business Administration and International Management in Cologne and São Paulo with a focus on retail marketing, corporate development, political science and energy economics. During her studies, she worked as a research assistant at the Chair of Retailing and Customer Management at the University of Cologne, and gained practical experience at various consulting companies and at the Franco-German Association for Science and Technology in Paris.
