Cecilia is supporting Agora’s activities in Latin-America with a focus on the Energy Transition in Mexico while she is completing her Masters in Industrial and Network Economics at the Technische Universität Berlin.
Before joining Agora Energiewende she worked for Mexico’s Energy Regulatory Commission (CRE) where she was Jr. Advisor to one of the Commissioners. During her time at CRE she was involved in the definition and regulatory processes of the recent Mexican energy reform. She started her career in the energy sector while working for the Mexican Institute for Competitiveness (IMCO) where she collaborated in a report that helped shape the conversation about the need of an energy reform in Mexico. She holds a Bachelor degree in Economics from Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México (ITAM).
