Andreas Jahn has been Senior Associate of the Regulatory Assistant Project in Berlin since 2012. Among the focal points of his work are power market design, taking demand resources into account, and the requirements for a sustainable (grid) tariff design. In addition, he supports the European work of RAP with his electricity market and regulatory expertise.
He previously spent five years with Nuon Germany, where he was responsible for regulatory management and energy policy. From 2004 he was responsible for the creation of non-discriminatory market access in the gas and electricity sector at the Federal Association of New Energy Suppliers (Bundesverband neuer Energieanbieter / bne). After completing his studies as an environmental engineer, he was manager of network accessibility at Lichtblick and, from 2002, a member of the working group at the Federal Ministry of Economics which prepared the regulation of electricity and gas networks.
