Bruna  Silveira Guimarães

    Bruna works as a researcher at the Center for Integrated Studies on Climate Change and the Environment (Centro Clima), based in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. She is an environmental engineer with a master’s degree in Environmental and Energy Planning from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (PPE/COPPE/UFRJ) and an ongoing doctoral degree in the same institution. Her job is to provide technical analysis and develop studies focusing on decarbonization and energy transition in Brazil, having participated in projects supported by foreign and national institutions. Her activities include creating scenarios, which are discussed with stakeholders from the government and the industry, and proposing modifications in regulations to enable the achievement of the country's climate objectives and the construction of a just climate policy, based on international climate policies. During the EnerTracks Fellowship Program, Bruna will expand on the study of the Brazilian steel industry’s decarbonization.
